We think it’s safe to say that neither of us had time to breathe at the Vera Wang show with one celebrity after another showing up to see Vera’s latest designs.

Beyonce arrived at the very last minute just as they were removing the plastic cover from the runway. No one was expecting her arrival! What was interesting however, is that she was wearing some of Vera’s design for SS2012 straight off the runway!
Serena was giving her a quick wave just before the show started.

Keep a lookout for both Ms. Coddington’s and Mr. Zee’s reactions as they see the clothes down the runway.

Did I mention that Joanna Coles from Marie Claire was also there? We are seriously nuts over her yellow pants.

Check out this 9 year old girl in the front row!
Her grandmother (the lady to the right) is Madeleine Albright, the former Secretary of State. However, Ms. Albright did not receive the invite for the Vera Wang show. In fact, it is her 9-year old granddaughter that scored the tickets at an auction in San Francisco.

Nicole also met Tina Craig from BagSnob but in her haste, forgot to take a picture with her! That aside, we have to say that Ms Craig is incredibly nice!

We were very lucky to have our first backstage experience at Preen this year. The show was held at the IAC Building in Chelsea. Here are some shots that we took while we were backstage.

Side note: We caught one of the models playing one of those fashion-themed game applications on Facebook! ;)

A Model’s view of the runway

Something you might not know about backstage at fashion shows is what I like to call the FIRST AID STATION. It’s situated right where the models leave to enter the runway. It’s complete with blister band aids, bandages and socks. Yes, socks.

The Press Line
The young girl wearing a black and white tee is actually a high school senior from D.C.! She took a week off from school to become an assistant to a photographer who shoots for Vogue.com and NY Times.

ELLE partners up with Savannah College of Art and Design to bring you the 2nd annual Fashion Next runway show.

Students from SCAD showcased their best designs during NYFW to stand a chance to win $25,000 for their clothing line. The panel of judges included Joe Zee, Julianne Hough, Iman Abdulmajid, Whitney Port and Chris Benz.
